Happy Holidays
It's been awhile but have a busy life I guess. Here's this year's pic of the kids with Santa (at the MFRC) - first year you don't see mom or dad's hand pushing, er um, holding the kids next to the big guy. Merry Ho Ho everyone! XO
And a picture of all of us taken in November - if you can imagine - a real family photo! All dressed up even. XO
Peggy and the Bay

Another day trip from our vacation days - Peggy's Cove and mahone Bay. Another fun day and a shot with all five! Wow.

The kids would have gone swimming if they could but they sure likes the waves we saw. Many "oohs and ahhs" much to the laughs of those watching us. They also met Miss Peggy herself and got a great little sticker. Will played his shy flirty self as always.

This makes is all worth it :>)

Big Bucks for Big times

Wow - is it already July 23rd? Where is summer going. Em starts camp in a mere 12 hours (thank god!) and then it's me and da boys for 2 weeks (well during the days anyhoo).
Had some fun for papa's vacation from office-ville these last two weeks. With no big adventures far from home, the ones we did do were fun and fabulous. Especially our day out to Playland. Over 100 bucks and 7 hours later, wasp stings aside (poor papa) the boys left exhausted with a strung out sister aside them but many fun memories.
Kiddie rides were overwhelmed with "again again" by our four as was the waterpark and waterslides. Even Matty Boo hit the slides and had some fun ... the best was the car rides. I dare say I will be entering the world of Nascar before this is all over.
Anyway, enjoy the pics.

Big Bird
God love the little people.
This morning, Alex slept in. Poor Willy was very out of joint because of this. He came downstairs and got some of Alex's things to take upstairs. In fact, Will would not eat his breakfast until Alex was awake. Cute enough.
However, Alex wins the award for cuteness today. Let me explain.
Mom eventually had to wake a sleeping AJ at 8 after big sis went to school. Wednesdayis playgroup day and mommy's "vacation from the kids" day. Mom loves wednesday. As usual, Alex woke with a huge smile. Sometime, I explaing. But Alex's nickname courtesy of Unca Tigs is "
sir humps a lot"...
So off we go to get dressed - always a fun chore in itself as the 'big boys' are learning to do it themselves. Alex does great and then off comes his pull-up )did I mention we are also toilet training....good lord!). He looks down and says, in a mst serious tone, "Mommy I have a big bird today".
Will comes running from Emily's room in which he and Matt are making a mess, er um, playing, to see. He quickly agrees with his older brother. So Alex recaps the story for Will in case he had not heard...
"Willwee, I took off my diaper and SURPRISE, I have a big bird today....like dad's"
Wills response
"My bird is small today but maybe later me too"

30 years later and still ticking

Who knew?
Mom and Dad (aka Grammy and Grampy) were some smart to hang on to the old fisher price schools and building that we did not demolish using them for indoor track and field events in our childhood years. And look, My two 'ronnies' playing with my old schoolhouse today. My side bet? It should last another 3....months....they have decided it makes a great ramp already. Better than jumping from the third step I suppose, or trying to see if Keara likes to have her tail pulled into another room....

ps right after the "hug" there was an immediate shakedown to the floor - welcome to "a night at the opera" , preschool years
Welcome to my life

So everyone thinks, what fun and joy it will be when I become an adult and don't have to listen to my folks, listen to the teachers, have money to spend on just me and the freedom to travel and see the world....Was this your dream? If like me, it may have close.
So now, as an "adult" I still listen to my folks (advice given whether wanted or not), get called to the school by my kids' teachers, money to spend (for about 2 minutes after pay ... groceries, gas, diapers....eek) and my world travelling consists of a leisurely drive to Toys R Us and if I am
lucky, maybe I get to have a coffee while listening to the slurp slurp of slushies and the
WHACK and
WHINES of four little creatures the hospital said I had to take home. I still question that....
Would I change it?
In a minute...
I have an extra large coffee and bu a lotto ticket in hopes of hiring a nanny.
Nanny McPhee that is.
Would I really change it?No on my lifeLaughs and GigglesMomma Roo
